Development of DVD Cover

| First design. The dice looked to prominent and to computer animated. Rhys took this in to account from the groups discussion with productive feedback and developed the design further. |

We wanted to summarise our film idea. When I started writing about the story line and the characters involved it began sounding quite theatrical and dramatic. We then had the idea to use this summary and create a piece of text that could be used for a DVD cover back. A common convention used on the back of the DVD to summarise the film and entice the audience into watching or purchasing the DVD.
So Rhys went on using my text to create the back of the DVD.
The final product is really effective. The text is gripping and is informative yet still mysterious with not to much detail. We discussed that all common conventions should be on the cover ie Barcode, BBFC film rating, logo, website and a strong colour theme of red, black and white.
This was a great way to get a clear idea of our story, present the text in an interesting way and thinking of how we might promote the film when completed.
